I think throwing empty bottles was much safer, altho I broke the west coast style mirror on a semi tractor one day when I threw a bottle out the passenger side window at a sign

That happened once. My buddy didn't notice it was a slump block mailbox. Not sure how he didn't see that at 30mph in the dark leaning over the truck bed. Almost knocked him out of the truck. Remember the cartoons where they would hit a solid object and their whole body would go.....DOIIIIIINNNNGGGGG. LOL |
