Just like an FSI rocket and motor.

If the rocket was 5 ounces at liftoff, it would most likely have continued straight up all the way to an insane altitude. It was going straight up most of the ay, but during the last second of propellant burn, it started to arc over until it was horizontal. Way the heck up there, but horizontal. Ejection was still extremely high up there, just moving a bit fast.
