Dale, wild design! Really invokes that "Retro-30's" type of SciFi feel...
After playing with your Mk I, my "alterations" for the Mk II are as follows: - Change core engine to at least an F24-4.
- Eliminate the outer engines entirely.
- Eliminate the launch lug. Explanation below...
- Bump the nose ballast to a full 16 oz!
- Use two 36" 8-line canopies instead of a single 24" canopy.
- Reduce the wall thickness of the nose cone to 0.07". This is more a more realistic thickness.
Results:
F24-4......515'......Dv <13 FPS (average of six sim runs)
Forget the launch rod for this one. It takes 80" of guide length before the rocket reaches safe flight V. You need an 8' tower.
