My little 2.0L (122CID) GDI Turbo DOHC CVVT in my HHR SS has 300hp with a tune and 260hp stock.
That is 150hp/litre (61CID) or 2.45hp/CI which is the highest of any engine ever offered by GM including the mighty LS9 in the ZR1 that gets 650hp out of 6.2L.

My brother has a buddy that has an HHR SS that has 1250hp out of his engine with a 250hp shot of Nitrous. His block has been extensively modified and displaces 3.2L now, but at any rate, a 3.2L 4cyl turbo putting out 1000 dyno-proven horsepower at 30+lbs of boost is SERIOUS.

Regardless of all this, if I was in charge, I would completely SHUT DOWN the EPA by refusing to sign a budget that appropriates one thin red cent to fund their operation. Total Nuisance agency. NOT JOKING.
I don't even like the ban on leaded automotive fuel. Light aviation STILL runs heavily (2gr/gal) leaded fuel and I LIIIIIIKE IT !
