Ahh! Thanks for the verification. I kind of wondered over the years whether that might be the case after I got some ‘real’ B14s and knowing my 1976 Centuri B14s did not have that that same deep core. The release of the B8’s some years later kind of jelled that suspicion.

Funny you should mention NARAM motor auctions and Vern. My only in-person meeting with him took place at a NARAM auction, where I won some Estes blue tube B4-6 motors autographed by Vern. As I recall, the motors were donated to the auction by Bob Kaplow. It is the only NARAM I have ever attended, #30 in Huntsville, AL in ‘88.

Vern and I have exchanged a few letters over the years since then on a couple of historical things, and in the late 90s or early 2000s Vern purchased some of my rocket videos. I never, ever dreamed as a kid that one day Vern, Mr. Rocket himself, would ever purchase a ‘rocketry’ product of mine. Just goes to show you never really know what the future may hold.
