There was a discussion thread here recently on the Centuri Lectra Line launch controllers from the late 60s to early 70s. Here is an eBay listing for a Lectra Line 1, which appears to have been part of an old Centuri starter set. My guess this one is from right around 1969-70.

Starting bid is $30 for the box of stuff, which is basically the controller and a couple boxes of Centuri motors, some Estes chute wadding, and what looks like a couple of MPC parachutes. Pricey starting point for those items, but if someone here was really wanting to get a Lectra Line controller, here at least is one to try for.

These probably won?t last long. Assorted 150 Estes engine stash for $149, plus $20 shipping. Of course, with motors you never really know how they have been stored. But at basically $1 per motor, not a bad deal at all.

Not my listing nor do I know the seller.

This is another of those that I don?t know how much an actual deal it might be, but an item that does not come up too very often.

In this instance, an Estes Citation Quasar starter set with chrome Port-a-Pad. Looks to be mostly complete with the bags still sealed. Includes another kit of some kind; an Estes mini motor kit of some type I think, but I can?t make out exactly which mini kit it might be. Two boxes of motors. Missing Xacto knife apparently.

That motor mount tube looks pretty tiny compared to the BT. I believe it's a BT-50. The white body with silver nose and fin can Quasar was a 72-74 catalog kit plus the 71 Citation year, but that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't still shipped that way later when the catalogs showed the solid white Quasar in 75. The 71-75 era only had three BT-50 mini powered kits, the Little John, Wolverine, and EAC Viking. The Wolverine had the ramjet NC and, IIRC, the Viking had a plastic NC leaving the Little John, which used a BNC-50Y. That looks like a BNC-50Y, so I'm going with Little John. Of course, the kit could have come from a different time frame and just got thrown in there with the Quasar starter set.

Yeah, my first reaction was the mini kit might be an EAC Viper, but I think that the balsa nosecone shape is not quite right. Also, I think that mini kit has been opened and the instructions are missing. Or, it may be a hodge podge of parts, including the mini kit mounting base, and it just 'looks' like it might be a mini kit. So, it really is hard to tell.

However, the other parts of the starter set look mint. And the full chromed Quasar does not come up very often at all.

Yeah and it's up to $125 with six more days to go. I'd love to have it, but at this rate there's no way I can justify what it is likely to go for.

Alright, who outbid me on the old Black Widow and Stilleto from Canada? At least I got a cheap Sprint and a not too bad price for the green tag HoJo.

I tried for the Black Widow as I thought (thought) it might go kinda cheap like some of the kits from this seller have done. Nope. Missed it. Did not bid on the Stilleto as I got one of that vintage (first issue) about six months or so ago.
