Those are all I have pictures of this momnt. I can pull out FSI, Pro-jet, Composite Dynamics, Small Sounding Rocket Systems which became Crown, and perhaps others if there is interest.

Hope this was of interest. The history of the model rocket motor is long and varied. There were successful brands and some that came and went. What will the new year bring?

Thanks for your interest.

Chas

Thanks again.

Fascinating stuff...

If you've got more, I'm sure folks (including me) would love to see it...

Hopefully the future holds some new FSI motors (and not just vaporware).

Later! OL JR

I (and I'm sure many others) would love to see all the other motors you have, Chas. As you have time it would be great to see them here.

I will see when I can get the ammo cans out again and will attempt to get some better pictures.

I had always wanted the Centuri Hustler since I saw it in the 1966 catalog. I bought two when SEMROC introduced the kit years ago. I finished the one in the picture the day before I left for NARAM 57 last July in Tucson. Flight was on an Estes F15-6.
I want to note that the picture was by Chris Taylor who runs the NARAMlive website.

Great pics and info, I got started in 62 and remember a lot of those. Wondering if you have a Krueger in your collection?

Thanks for taking the time to share the collection Chas!
I wondered if some of those AVI engines were ever produced.

Default Ellis Mtn G20s

I had the chance to fly a G20 some years back, in a glider that did well on F20s and especially F25s. Man, did that thing keep going up!!! And.....once the pod ejected, it HAD to go nearly STRAIGHT off. Landed over a mile away, got it back though.

Miss those, as well as the HPR AT classics like the H35, H55, and really the H70. Great in gliders back then...

Steve sums it up for me as well.

I have some old Estes and Centuri motors from the 60s and 70s, including a number of B14s, but these pictures are a real eye-opener from a diversity standpoint.
