Although I would have thought Gene Rodenberry was smarter than that. You don't launch an nuclear weapon atop a Saturn V!

I thought Teri looked her best in Close Encounters, but her sexiest in Young Frankenstien.

I agree on all counts. (Except ST TOS isn't currently in any lineup here.)

As for the Saturn V footage....

Maybe they thought:

1. Saturn V looked soooo coooool that they just had to use it.
2. It's a NASA rocket, therefore not classified.
3. It's a NASA rocket....free camera footage????
4. Military ICBM's weren't/aren't launched with gantry's so the show would have had to build a missile silo mockup for filming if they used an Atlas, Titan I/II, or Minuteman. Yes, I know that the test missiles had gantry's, even the Minuteman test vehicles had them. But was the footage available for TV/movie use back then?

And mention that there's an Allis-Chalmers tractor in the background of one of the wide Saturn V shots.

I was just lucky that it came in clear enough to see. It is rare that channel 5 comes in for me. I'm all the way east on lake Huron!

I like that episode!

I was watching Young Frankenstein just last week. Wow, she was a cutie.

Not for a long time, and when I did it was because I got tricked into it.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, and then a third time, etc.

Sandman,
Clear enough to see ?????
Are you using an antenna on top of a tower ?????
I can't imagine getting much of anything over in the thumb area on one of those.
I have satellite with over 175 channels (incl. Ch.5) and still manage to have "nothing" on TV quite often.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I have a 50' antenna tower with a rotor. I paid $450 for it 30 years ago and have spent about $100 in repairs (replaced the rotor control with a new electronic control box...with remote!).

I get as of this week 44 different TV stations clearly (plus some duplicates) and about 6 or 7 more when the weather is right.

Most are Canadian which have almost all of the network shows and a lot of the cable shows.

The Daily Show, Colber Report, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Nip Tuck, The Sopranos, Battlestar Galactica, reruns of all three recent Startreks, lots and lots of good stuff.

Plus some really great Canadian shows! OK, some aren't so great...Little Mosque on the Prarie really sucks!!! but Corner Gas is a riot!

And a ton of movies!

I also get about 10 US stations. channels 5 and 12 are iffy but 25 and 28 from Flint are a guarantee clear as a bell.

I can't wait to get my HD converter...the HD signal is supposed to be even better with an antenna than cable.

Some channels have two stations on them depending on where I point the antenna!

And the best part...NO MONTHLY BILL!!!!!!!!
