My decals with my first K41 MR in the late 70's crumbled too.
I had the hobby shop get me replacements. It was around 79 or 80 I think.

I agree. I always loved those printed capsules too. Something you don’t see anymore, unless you find an oldie. Remember the old pseudo Mercury Capsules from the 60s ? I had MANY of those. So, being so "wealthy (?!) in that department, I had to build some. What I learned is they made TWO Types. One was White with Black Print. The other was opposite—- Black with White Print ! My built ones are long gone. Still, I have one of each left. You’d never think this was so, unless you build them both. Even the face card ( on the instructions) shows a dim view of their different print. Believe me, when you put the two together side by side, you Could see the difference. If you have a 1964 & up Estes catalog, look at it. It has the White on Black version in it. I have a soft spot for these items of old. So I’m especially glad I happened to hang on to one of each. And I thank You for you letter. Here’s a pic of one of each, which I still have. ( whew,,, so glad ! ) .

Hi jeffyjeep,, thanks. I really didn’t have a hard time at all. Guess cause I just took my sweet time. I guess you do too,,, as I see your work often and I admire it. A lot. Perhaps one day I can purchase some of your work,,, but I’m happier when folk Donate it,,, ha. I appreciate your comment. I just finished up on some more detailing, which you know plenty about, too. It’s fun having that olde BT-60 version back again ! Dan

I was wondering when someone would blow the whistle on that one, and of course it had to be you. But you can blame CHAS as that’s how it came. ( whew, got out of that one!).....
