Default Centuri Design Contest - F-150 Hurricane

I saw this in one of the Rocket Times recently uploaded at JimZ's plan site. I liked the looks of it and decided to add the parts to my next eRockets order, but I've run in to something of a snag. Although it says that the rocket is St-8 based, the nose cone is shown as a PNC-76. That's a pretty big difference. I've gone through the catalogs on Ninfinger trying to make some sense of it all, but it's turned to tapioca in my head. Can anyone make sense of this? Am I just missing something obvious?

That looks a lot like the Centuri F-104 Starfighter. I'd probably turn the wing tanks around if I were going to build it.

Kid is from Oak Ridge, south of you and east of me.

That's what appealed to me. I like the idea of turning the tanks around. I went through the nose cones that were available at this time, but nothing I found really fit the profile. The fact that it's line art may have something to do with it.

Has to be a typo on the cone since there's also an 8 series motor mount. Go with an 8 series cone of the same shape.

Good idea. And then there is no point in using ST-8. I’d take the easy way out and go BT-50, which has lots of nose cone choices.

That's the route I took. I should have it started by Monday.

I'd guess PNC-83 (3.3" L) or -89 (4.6" L).
