I have a set of resin parts from Alien Enterprises. Nice looking, but heavy. For a 4” tube. I’d probably build with 29mm mount, but the F reloads in a 24/60 RMS would work well.

yeah if you have resin or fiberglass it will be heavy, I built one using a scale fiberglass cone I got which was a curtis Turner cone, using bt-101 and built as light as I could with 1/16" thick fiberglass scale fins, it required a 29mm mount and was still close to far 101 weight limit, required G motors really to get above 500'. Nice flier though. If you used a fiberglass tube or heavy cardboard it would really be a pig. Light weight is the key to pershings.

I need to get the set of parts out of storage. One option may be to hollow out some of the nose cone to get the weight down a bit. I’ve done this for a really heavy basswood nose cone I turned on my lathe. I love turning basswood, but it can be WAY heavy on larger turnings.
