He was single, retired and had a sister.

I don't know all the details of what he did with most of his money, but he did buy the town several fire trucks, a new building for the trucks, and new vehicles for the police department as well as new equipment.

When he passed, during his funeral procession, the town had the trucks and cars in it with his casket on one of the fire trucks.

His sister got half of what was left and the town got the other half.

When she passed, the town got what was left of her money.

They had no family to pass it on to.

There is a vintage flight-worthy F-4 I would snap-up in a heartbeat if I had the cash. That's what I call quality travel.

J79's pull like a diesel, and smoke like one too.

I always thought if I won, I'd build a new station and get new (or at least new to us) apparatus for my volunteer dept. My paid dept. (I.E. my city) can suck eggs because of the way they have treated us, at least until certain people are gone. It's not like I'd ever win since I don't play, though.

The later J79s don't smoke nearly as bad, but I don't give a rat's butt how much they smoke.

The new fighters (none of them, in my opinion) can match the sheer badass image of a Phantom.

There must be something magical that occurs when you follow an “F” with a “4”. My dad was a WWII Marine Corp pilot and the F4U Corsair was his favorite to fly. I only wish that I could have talked to him more about his flying days before he passed in the early 90s.

When one sees an F-4 one is looking at an "All Business" fighter aircraft.
I have photo albums from 1968 when they were taking off fully loaded on full AB at Ubon Royal Thai AFB where my father was stationed during the war. This was Robin Olds' base.
That base also was the only base that the AC-130 Spectre Gunships operated from during the war. Another absolute "Bad Ass" aircraft. In addition to those, OV-10 Bronco FAC Aircraft also operated there.
The F-4 was the last aircraft to produce USAF and USN Aces. No other Aircraft is likely to produce any due to the nature of modern aviation warfare.

I don't spend a lot on lottery tickets, and only play if over $100 Million. That kind of money will give one anything one wants just off basic interest income.

I would get an F-15 they have almost 2X the range and need a lot less maintenance.
But I do have to say, OLD SMOKEY is one handsome Jet Plane.

Agree with the F-15, but there are none available on the civilian market.
There is an F-4, and occasionally F-16s and F-18s pop up.
A F-16 could be neat, but I wouldn't touch an F-18.
