Fun Fact:

I use the remaining 3" or so of 3/16" aluminum tube from that long-ago Aero-Dart cloning project to pull thinner (dope or enamel) from bottles to drop into paint bottles.

Thanks all.

My assortment of K&S thin walled aluminum tubes arrived this afternoon and they look great. Once I work out what sort of adhesive might stick to it, I will have a pair of shiny and unpainted LLs adorning my 1962 Centuri Aero-Dart clone. And plenty of spares for most anything that comes up later.

I put aluminum lugs on my Aero Dart about three years ago.
Scratched a nice cross hatch into them with 80 grit sandpaper and attached with 30 min. epoxy.
Probably have 20 flights on it since and no problems.
