Latest transportation
Due to someone complaining I don't post enough pics, I decided to post a pic of my latest ride.
Will dig up some Corvette pics later. Still have that and it's going nowhere. This vehicle is far more winter-friendly. Twin-Turbo AWD fully loaded CT6. Has Super-Cruise autopilot, FLIR Night Vision, 4-camera video, Self-parking, Radar-Cruise, front/rear heated/cooled seats, power sun shades, Auto Hold braking for stop/go traffic, front/rear/side sonar object detection, Lane Keep assist even when Super/RADAR Cruise is off, Double sunroofs with rear control of rear roof, automatic cornering lamps, auto dimming headlamps, 110v power outlets, and anything else one could want. Does 0-60 in 5.0sec, 1/4 mile in 13 flat. Not as fast as my Corvette, but really quick for a 4500lb sedan. Gets over 26mpg at over 80mph.

Nice ride. The CT6 was one of the last major programs I saw from concept to production before I retired from GM. I have a patent on part of the Omega "architecture" that the CT6 is built on.

Which part ?
I release(d) parts on the CT6 also. I'm still there.

Part of the front motor compartment rail ( the front cast node where cradle is attached). I was in AVDC/CAE, last assignment was Structural Integration Architect.

Nice.
I do electronics (computer boxes). Body controllers, and other controls in the past. The last ~3yrs I have mostly worked from home, out to Milford once/twice a month. Bet you can guess how I feel about the 3days/wk office policy after we were told we could work remote unless needed in office.

I have a 2018 Nissan Versa....but at least it has a 5 speed manual transmission. Lmao. Sometimes I think I'm back in the early 1970's.

We’re on the same general page - I took a couple months to find my last year in the US mid-level Forester with a 6 speed manual, though it’s probably slightly closer to the high end with a sunroof, heated seats, cruise and a decent (to me) sound system. Even I couldn’t do a base model. Though I’ll confess if it wasn’t for the need to get to family when needed and haul the granddaughters about I’d have bought something way less practical - big v-8 powered, 4 on the floor, and with dreadful space efficiency sounds about right, breaker point ignition and a carburetor would be plus.

Here's a picture of my Ferrari and Bentley, in my driveway. Oh, perhaps I should have posed with them? .

No, you should’ve posted them with the bikini car washers you undoubtedly have on speed dial 😆

More likely Geo drives a beat-up soccer-mom minivan.
I have a 6sp manual transmission in my C6 Corvette. 450+hp in a 3150lb car=FUN !
