Thankfully I don't live ANYWHERE near Detroit...work about 10 miles away, but live over 60 away.
That city is the armpit of Michigan that has been slowly self-destructing since the early 60's...the only major cities worse are ANY in stinkin' Ohio, but especially Cleveland and Columbus.

Michigan has FOUR cities in the top ten !

Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, and Pontiac.

They all made the top ten list of the FBI's top ten most VIOLENT cities in the U.S.

YEEEAAAAHHHHH !!!!!

Despite all that, I would still choose a trip to Detroit over ANY city in the Indo-Pak region of the earth.

You've obviously not visited Cincinnati.

Cincy is a dump too.
That whole state is a dump that is over-run by gestapo-like highway patrol cars.

A Casino automatically makes a state LESS dumpy, NOT more.
If I can't legally play cash poker in a state, it automatically gets a low rating if it is NOT Hawaii.
Current proposal in Michigan to add 22 more Casinos all over the state. Sounds GOOD to me. Bring 'em ON !!!

Well, webmaster Scott graciously (and painstakingly) hooked me up and got my IP in India cleared. Thanks, bro!

My Steri-Pen UV water sterilizer got broken on the way, so I'll have to be exceptionally careful this time if I don't want to spend the next several weeks on the terlet.

----of course, there's always Kingfisher Dark instead.

I hope I'm not jinxing it by saying this, but the last time I was "two exits, no waiting" sick was on a job on the east coast of Taiwan in 2000. I was actually afraid I wouldn't die.

I avoid like the plague any backwater 'dirtbagistans' that do not have at least 95% close to US sanitation standards. That includes virtually ALL of the so-called nations in the india-pakistan region. I'd tell my boss to KMA before I would ever step foot into the cesspool known as india. Most nations in that region have less sanitary conditions than the average US GARBAGE DUMP or SEWAGE treatment facility.

If you're curious, I'm going to Tiruchipalli (or "Trichy"--to the locals) in the state of Tamil Nadu. It's about 10 degrees north of the equator and it's never below 95 F day or night.

Desparate poverty, malaria, typhoid, dengue fever, cholera, rabies, and accidents are pretty much the norm there. I've never gotten sick or injured there fortunately--but ONLY because I'm very careful. When I was there in 2010, the guy I was working with ate "something bad" and was so sick he could have s**t through a screen door at 50 yards.

Well keep safe, don't let the mosquito get its mouth on you ... more people in the entire history of mankind have died of Malaria carried by Mosquito's than any other cause of death including war and famine.
