Default 4-6-08 100% PERFECT launch Day!!!!!!!!!!

My father my son and I flew some of the fleet today.

Lil Ivan clone(my favorite scratch build so far)
Baby Bertha
#2 Pencil
AlphaIII clone
Alpha stretched(taller Alpha using a Alpha(balsa finned one) BT and a Plastic AlphaIII fincan)

Great weather ,light wind,All models recovered undamaged and all came home.

Estes wadding and engines A to C were used w/solar ignitors w/plugs and 6volt 4.7 amp gel cell and camera tripod launcher w/ 4 foot 1/8th rod from lowes.

Engines worked perfectly , no ignition problems at all. All parachutes deployed and opened fine.

All in all a great Sunday afternoon.

For a short fat rocket Lil Ivan can get with the program on a C-6 .....And the AlphaIII was just perfect,It looked like it was going 300 MPH.......and straight and true flight.

#2 pencil and Bertha did fine as well.....

And the trees were starved this time out.........we were far from them.

Jim

Now back to my Big Daddy #2 build.

With your permission, I would like to use this exact phrase when the situation presents itself.

STRMan.....go right ahead....... Ive learned my lesson w/trees. I wont fly rockets around them anymore.

I live by huge farm fields anyhow........all it takes is a short walk.....If i launch here at the house they are TreeFood for shure.

I hate to see my labor hang in a tree and die a wet soggy sun bleached death.
