One more thing I forgot:

Most of you on this board are older than me by 10 - 15 years or so. That places a good chunk of you close to or over 60... well you are really getting up there in age aren't you big boys?!

I like wisdom over intelligence because wisdom is just an intelligent person making the same mistake until they figure out not to make that mistake anymore.

But wait, you are 62 and need a liver or kidney. Well you are up there in your age, near retirement. Hmm. Will society get its money's worth out of giving you a new kidney or heart? Hmmm. I being in my 40's, working, paying taxes are a far better candidate as I can make money for the State!

Heck, someone in their 20's is an even far better candidate than me for that new kidney or expensive medical treatment. They can make money for the State for another 40, 45 , 50 years! Now who is going to make the decision as to who gets what and is a better candidate?

Oh that's right the government death panels er um I mean 'end of life care' panels. Boy I didn't mean to scare anyone with that slip up...hope I caught it in time!

Now who was it that said, 'Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety'... now was that 50 cents? No, maybe Snookie? Jay Lo or Snoop Dog? Nope must have been Lindsey Lohan or must have been Rossie O'Donnell ... or was it some dead racist white guy? Let me check...

... yep some irrelevant dead racist white guy by the name of Benjamin Franklin ... what did he know? He was fool! Some idiot who didn't have a rap album or a drug dependency! What did he know...

America you are going down and just to dumb to see impact approaching!

Jonathan

I wish the two-leggers *would* practice more selective breeding among themselves (to avoid passing along inherited disorders if nothing else). In earlier times, it was not uncommon for men to choose mates at least partly based on it, and it occasionally occurs even today (G. Gordon Liddy has said that he selected his wife based in part on her physical, mental, and temperament characteristics and how her strengths would complement his weaknesses and vice-versa). Selective breeding certainly improved my kind, and my breed in particular--we now have sound limbs, lungs, and sight, and those attributes as well as our great size and strength are ours to enjoy thanks to Man's efforts.

I think it's "not smart" to lump those three terms together.

I'm just saying that some Socialism is not all bad.

There is not much difference between the three options. Fascism was founded by a man who was and considered himself a Socialist up to the bitter end (Mussolini). Marxism is a slightly more radical version of Socialism. All three advocate state control over all means of production. Socialists/Fascists may let some private ownership/management happen, but the government still controls it. Marxists have government ownership of everything.

With the way the President is carrying on, is it reasonable to guess that he believes the court will rule against him?

The two opinions stated by the President most clearly are:

The court will make a political decision which will undermine a democratically elected Congress.
The President will achieve a second term and then negotiate away any numerical and technological advantage in Europe.

If this guy wins a second term there won't be any 'advantages' left to negotiate away. He can't seem to 'apologize' enough for this country. If wants to do that, fine. Let him do it to his heart's content as a private citizen beginning January 20, 2013.

As it stands now there is a deep fear and sense of dread that it may, already, be 'too late' to steer this boat into calmer waters.

I don't think he gets it. I don't think his large swath of supporters get it. He isn't treasonous per se, but he is anti-constitutional. Near as I can tell that is not a criminal act. Sad.
