Thanks Semroc!
Just wanted to extend a huge thanks to Sheryl @ Semroc for sending some replacement parts for my Saturn 1B kit. Took me a few tries before I got the hang of making those built up fins, and I boogered up the first few and wanted a do-over. The balsa sheets can't be added to the cart yet(which I wanted to do), but Sheryl handled my request by sending not only the balsa frame pieces, but the skins too....no charge! The new fins are turning out much better. Semroc is simply THE best!

Sounds like a typical "over the top, above and beyond" experience....In other words the "standard" way Semroc does business, which could teach a lot to a lot of other companies !

I agree. The very first order I placed with them, I forgot to add some adapter rings and sent them an e-mail asking them to be put in the order. I thought I might have been too late but they threw them in anyway at no charge. Recently, I ordered parts of an Honest John clone and they included the laser cut fins (which are not yet in their catalog) at no charge. Pretty cool company.

I'd venture to guess that the number of dis-satisfied Semroc customers could be counted on a one-digit binary scale.

I haven't met one yet. Sheryl sent me not only the fin sheet I needed, but also a parachute for my Thunderbee when the streamer proved inadequate to slow its descent. I expected to pay for the fins... it was truly amazing.

And this is only the tip of the iceberg, for me and the scads of folks who have ever ordered from them. I honestly don't know how they do it, but I hope it never ends. Great, great, company.

Yep the Semroc folks are great... we met them up in Indiana during the summer at NSL 2007 when I took my nephews down to see the launch. They wanted to get some rocket stuff for their rocketry in 4H projects that they do for the fair every year. The boys and I looked at tons of stuff and I got a lot of BMS parts and a Fliskits baffle for my Ares I/Orion scratchbuild and they couldn't really make up their mind what to get, and the Semroc folks spent a good twenty to thirty minutes explaining all the kits, going over their requirements (no skill level one kits, etc.) for their projects, and explaining the benefits and features of the different kits that were suitable for the rules of their contest. They really went above and beyond the call, even pulled every single kit in their lineup that was appropriate for the fair project off their display and discussed them at length with the kids.
Tim got a Semroc Lil Hustler and I helped him build it, and it turned out great. Went to State Fair in Indiana last summer. Wonderful folks there at Semroc with great products! Jeff Roberts |
