Default What years was the MPC Microsonde 3 available?

What years was the MPC Microsonde 3 available?

I know there is an undated product sheet on Ninfinger but was there ever an actual catalog of MPC products?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

According to information in Earle Cagle's post, https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/showthread.php?t=19644, the MPC Microsonde III was first available after October 15, 1969.

In 1972, Myron Bergenske purchased the remaining MPC model rocketry products and sold them under the Aerospace Vehicles, Inc. (AVI) line of products until they closed in 1979. Various color flyers and newsprint encylogs were produced over the years with the MPC Microsonde III listed. See https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/showthread.php?t=19719 for AVI literature.

MPC did produce a few different versions of the leaflets like you referenced on Ninfinger. There was even a color version, which I have. I will attempt to locate it and scan it if you are interested.

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins

I do. I flew one. There's a reason you don't remember it. Flew fine, but the plastic fins are WAY too brittle and I'm two for two on flights breaking fins.

Here's the MPC color multi-fold Model Rocketry Catalog published circa 1970-71. The 1970-71 MPC color multi-fold Model Rocketry Catalog is 7” tall x 30” wide when unfolded. Each page is 7” tall x 5” wide. The attached pdf images 1 and 2 are joined together on the actual leaflet to form the front side of the unfolded leaflet. Due to file size limitations, I'll have to send pdf images 3 and 4 of the back side of the unfolded leaflet on another post.

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins

Hi Steve,

You're very welcome! I've been meaning to scan and post a copy of the MPC color multi-fold Model Rocketry Catalog that I have for a while now. Your post gave me the nudge I needed to get it done, so thank you!

I also sent a copy to Sven Knudson to post on his Ninfinger.org model rocketry website, when he gets a chance, for reference and for everyone to enjoy.

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins
