South Korea's First
South Korea launched its first domestic satellite rocket looked great off the pad, but its 3rd stage failed to ignite. I'll give them credit, they had many cameras rolling for some great liftoff shots.
The rocket sorta-kinda reminded me of a Thor/Delta in shape, but it used multiple engines. Watch closely and you can see the black turbine exhaust exiting them like the Thor/Delta, Jupiter, Atlas, and Saturn Block 1 flights of old. Later engines of similar gas generator technology directed the turbine exhaust into the main plume for some added thrust, depriving us of mushrooming black smoke reigniting beside the main column of fire and brimstone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PWTnX0EwcU

Looked good coming off the pad. Yeah, sure did have an early Thor/Delta vibe. Some of those opening liftoff shots reminded me of my PadCam liftoff shots from my LDRS video series of yesteryear!
