Talking Hello, new here!

Hey all, just joined so I figured I would introduce myself.

Typical BAR lol, had many if not all the Estes models in the early 1970s. I am currently not looking to go high power, just really want to rebuild all the classics I had as a kid.

My other hobbies include astronomy, which I am quite active in and occasionally listen to shortwave radio.
This seems like a great forum, especially for the older classic stuff 😀

Thanks for having me!

Well, welcome! Sounds like you have the background to fit in with the inmat... er, I mean members here!

I am more of a Centuri guy myself but did Estes too. Many, many vintage Estes folks here.

Earl

Including Vern himself! He logs in a few times a week to read the posts.

Well, we've certainly heard that story before. Welcome, but there are rules to adhere to.
1. Pictures. We like pictures. We especially like vintage pictures if you have any.
2. Stories. Tell us some. We have no secrets here. We've all bounced a few. Some were on fire.
3. Teri Garr. 'Nuff said.
We also don't mind a good tractor story.

Note:
Bill is the only one fixated on Tractors and Teri Garr

Teri Garr, maybe. Tractors, no. Just wanted to warn him about the potential twists and turns in threads.

Jeff,

Welcome! It is nice to see new members here. YORF is great for finding, and sharing, info on all things model rocketry related. I grew up in Colorado and started building and flying Estes rockets in the early 60s.

Did the high power thing in the 90s, and returned to build and fly model rockets, some midpower, around 2000.

And Bill is absolutely right about us liking pictures!

Thanks for the warm welcomes I only have one picture of a completed Mosquito and a current Hornet build.

But can't seem to attach it.
I'm using Chrome as a browser, I may have to power up the Windows machine.

I will work on that tomorrow, don't feel like a Windows headache tonight lol

Hi Jeff,

It's not your computer. I'm running old software and unfortunately it has a 2mb size limit for the files you upload. You'll need to re-size your pic file so it's under 2mb in size.
