I used to love stopping by RAH in Stevensville, MI whenever I had to go to a job in G.R. Or Kalamazoo. The Spartan condition of the shop never seemed to bother me and Dave was always a perfect host and gentleman—regardless of how much or how little I purchased. He also had the largest selection of TLP and Semroc kits I’d ever seen in one place although I was never a fan of TLP kits.

A few years ago I stopped by RAH and it was closed and empty with a handwritten sign on the door stating the address of the new location—in Three Oaks, MI (IIRC). I finally found the place but it also looked closed and unoccupied but I wasn’t sure because I don’t remember seeing any windows. I believe this is when Red Arrow had probably “jumped the shark.”

I never had any recent dealings with them but back in the day I did buy their phlexible phenolic, some Robby’s Rockets stuff and Transolve altimeters from RAH. Always had great service but this was a long time ago. I think he was about the first to have the phlexible phenolic if not the very first to offer it. I used a lot of that phenolic on mid power scratch builds I really liked the stuff.

What a scam:

$30 plus shipping for a vintage shuttlecock and a bunch of copies.

And it's a BT20 bodytube - does anyone still make 'short' 18mm motors? - and if you use a full length engine it won't be stable.

If you want a Birdie clone, there are far better options even on ebay :
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Astron-Bir...AAMXQhpdRvZ7 x
(I bought a couple of these, although I substituted some real feather shuttlecocks for the included ones) - or -
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oddl-Rocke...AAOSwoShftJH l

This is pretty low, even for goodrocks...

The Semroc Astron Sprite repro comes with four of these: http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-empt...4pk-sem-mc-717/

You glue a 13mm motor into this to create a functional equivalent of a Series III motor.

The said, I agree, that's pretty low, even for this seller.

The actual shuttlecock looks like the right one....and it apparently has gotten rather rare. That's no excuse for this one, though.

That listing illustrates an issue we have had with eBay for a while. Item descriptions are not displayed on mobile devices. You wouldn't have read that the instructions and face card are copies on a mobile device unless you clicked to expand the description. This results in confusion because many customers purchase items without reading the description.

The K-21 Gemini Titan that was just on ebay sold for a TOTALLY INSANE $455.00.
Easily more than DOUBLE it's actual worth.
Good luck trying to flip that one.

Bottom line it’s a reproduction kit, and it’s listed like the real thing, the parts did not come from a kit.

That actually doesn't sound out of line - I sold an opened but original K-21 GT a couple years ago for over $400.
Of course then the USPS crunched it during shipping

That's WAYYYYYY OUT OF LINE.

I wouldn't pay 400 for any kit short of a PRISTINE SHRINK WRAPPED BOXED Enerjet Athena.
Not sure even on that.
