I'm sure he's thankful for that suggestion, tbzep.

I still have some silver to touch up, and some decals to apply, but it's not going to be a beauty queen. Also found the decals and applied them to the Estes Super Vega. I applied the big fin decal first, and thought it looked a little lost. The decals were waterslides that I'd made after scanning the original stickers, and all of them seemed to come out about 25% smaller. I have to find the originals and see if I screwed up or if all of the decals are small. Another one that will look great on the pad, not so much when subject to a detailed inspection. I also finished my second Estes Monarch (the first one was treed before I got the decal applied,) and printed off the decals for the 1:1 Estes Goonybird Missile Toe. Today I'm picking up a paint pen to draw on the bandages, so I should be able to finish the decals on that one this week.

Calling this one done except for touch ups. Anyone want to hazard a guess on where I got my decals?

Vertical Saturn V 1/100 decal that goes on the second stage. Maybe?

Nah, everything came from the Estes Shrike decal sheet. For some reason I have several of them in different sizes around here.

I was going to guess you scanned the new Little Joe II decals and resized and printed them red. Looks great Bill! I know that Rustoleum Black Night Metallic gave you fits but I still love that color.

Volume 1 #10 of the Rocketeer Collectors Journal has a profile view of the rocket, it’s a Dimensioned engineering style drawing from an earlier version of the Astronautic Modeler. I got the journal recently and this is the first time I looked at it. The rocket could be scaled from the drawing if it is accurate. It has the fin span and fin profiles. If anyone else wants to clone this I recommend the journal.
