Ca 1992, built very well and using the lightest components and covering I could afford at the time it was still 16 oz ready to fly with e11 P's as the only available recommended motor which gave it a boost to about 150 ft and about 20 seconds worth of glide time it was a big disappointment but planted the seed for many more rocket gliders to come.

There were Aerotech composite motors available in 1992.
A composite E15W would have gotten it a lot higher.
40n-sec vs about 27

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.

Right, the key word there was recommended and at the time Estes wasn't recommending composite motors in their kits and I wasn't fully aware of the Aerotech lines and what was available in my area was limited. The kit was designed and marketed to be flown on e11 p but I don't know how they thought that was reasonable flight performance on the motors that they made..
