Default Mercury Capsule

Title: Mercury Capsule

Kit number: KM-2

Background Information brief: The Estes Mercury Capsule was released in the 1963 catalog and was sold for many years. It was not a true scale of the Mercury Capsule, but was a fun addition to an "experienced" rocket to have a nose cone and payload section that was a little different. The Mercury Capsule was introduced as Catalog #PSM-1 for $1.00. The Semroc Retro-Repro Mercury Capsule attempts to capture some ot the fun of this early and unusual payload section.

Designer: Estes

Release Date: 07/28/2007

In Production: 2007-2014

Inquiring minds that could not attend NARAM-49 would like to know!

I already sent in my order for the SLS ARCAS. I'm really excited about that one!

Thanks,

Attached is a picture of the kit in it's package.

It is a re-issue of the paper and balsa Estes Mercury capsule from the 1960's. It was never used in a kit but was in the catalog until 1971.
