Default new ECOF event - “The Most Interesting Rocket in the World”

with the absence of the Kelly Challenge this year, I have decided to resurrect a (hopefully recurring) event first hosted by Marc Stevens in 2011. At that time it was called the “Anti-Rocketry Challenge”, and Eric Cayemberg won with a spectacular (and really complicated) 20 motor staged cluster rocket with dog whistles. see Scott’s video of the event here… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFS0RwlU2rk and Chad’s video of the winning flight here… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M65GUSV4S4

This year the theme will be “The Most Interesting Rocket in the World”. Inspired by the “most interesting rocketeer in the world" thread on TRF, http://www.rocketryforum.com/showth...3Level-4%94-%85 , here are a few extracts…
His flight card says only, “Level 4”
He once entered a Big Bertha in Super Scale competition, and won.
Trees give him his rocket back.
The waiver kisses him.
In his lifetime, he has built only one Estes Mosquito kit,
which he still has,
after 783 flights.
Kari Byron asked him to pose for a picture at LDRS.
He uses copperheads to cluster.
he is the only flyer ever to be issued a lifetime “Fast Pass” for the away pads safety check-in line.

“I don’t always fly BP, but when I do, it’s always ‘Those Estes’. Stay thrusty my friend.”

So, in a nutshell, the only criteria is that your rocket (not you), be interesting. Voting will be by peers… everyone that enters gets a ballet, you can vote for anyone but yourself.

That’s it. No complicated rules. (NAR safety code still applies.)

Cheers

Sather
