I really like that shot of the past, present and possibly future scale models. Nice looking Saturn 1b with a detailed command module.

I was just a little surprise of the high price, but plastic is a petroleum product and that has an effect on the price. I look at the price of plastic scale models these days and I can't believe some of the prices they want for them.

I will still try to buy two or three.

I’ll probably buy a couple, but I see in the description you can only launch them on July 16th ‘19 🥴

List price of $69 is a bit higher than I anticipated - still, the discount price from AC Supply should be around $42 which is decent.

I see it reads it's a limited production so I wonder how limited it will be?

Hmmm... I wonder if the limited production statement is related to the specific anniversary version with the poster - similar to the inclusion of the LEM model in the 1/100 scale kit. Hard to figure that Estes would spend the money on tooling and molds just to sell the ARF 1/200 model for less than a year or so.

We may see a “standard” version sans the poster and anniversary packaging eventually.

Or, and I hate to sound jaded here, it may just be marketing speak.

Not that it is critically important, but looking at the specs on the model, something seems a bit sstrange relative to the projected altitude on the recommended C6-3 motor.

Diameter is about two inches, weight is listed as five ounces and projected altitude on that C6-3 is.... 1300 feet? Really??

I suspect that altitude must be a typo (even though they list the equivalent strange altitude in meters as well). Probably should be closer to 300 feet, though that may be a bit of a stretch, too.

Yeah....300' even is a real stretch for a 2" rocket that weighs in at 5.5oz unless zero wind.
On a C5-3 I might believe it.

1300' ....NO WAY...it wouldn't do that on a 18mm Aerotech D10 or D21.
