Default Semroc Thunderstorm - Anyone have one?

This kit is the ST-20 upscale in the thunder series. I think Karl had this slated for a 2013 release when he passed away. I don’t see anything from erockets announcing its release, but it is listed as available but has been discontinued. Does anyone have one, and if so, is there a date on the instructions or when you bought it? Trying to glean info on the release of the erockets only Semroc kits for a post before bothering Randy.

Thanks

Don't have one, but I see JonRocket has one (them) in stock. Others may have them too.

Date shows July 2017 on my instructions.
But the old Semroc website has a 2013 date for this kit.

Yeah, I think Semroc never released it and eRockets did so in 2017.

I think it was close to ready when Carl passed, thanks for the info! That is exactly what I needed.

I have one. Was impressed with the visual of it on the package. It has some nice features. TTW fins, nice stout tubes, balsa snout. It goes together very simply , as is expected. My only unhappy feature with the kit is the loose fitting tube couplers. The quality is fantastic, but the fit is wobbly to be honest.....in comparison to other manufacturers couplers. Still, it's so straight and clean, I have no regrets. I wouldn't pay $50.00 for it again...$30.00 is solid, but $50.00 is overpriced. Still...glad I decided to add it to the fleet. My dated instructions are "July 2017".

Does anyone remember how they heard of it? I can’t find an announcement anywhere or even an unbagging thread. I think Randy is fantastic with his local club but could market better. People won’t buy if they don’t know it exists.

I think I first saw it on the eRockets website, but ordered it from Jonrockets because of the free shipping over $48.
