I always have and always will say NO to low VOC fillers/sealers.
Yuck.
Sanding my OT booster is worse than the SST.
Got that one just about done.

ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I personally am trying to get away from using any balsa in my models if possible and replace it with various types of composites and foams. But if I was to seal balsa wood I would used low viscosity laminating resin.....

or maybe this:

I have several PINT and Half-Pint CANS of Aero Gloss Balsa Fillercoat and Sanding Sealer in addition to several 4oz jars.
I probably have enough to last my lifetime.
I know I have enough cans of Colored Aero Gloss Dope for a lifetime.
I have enough Stearman Red dope in Quarts and Pints to paint an entire full-scale Stearman Biplane.

Just say NO to anything but good old VOC-LADEN Dope for filling/sealing wood.
NOTHING is as good. Especially any water-based CRAPOLA.

I've been using this stuff lately, followed by Duplicolor FP101 or Bondo Gray Filler Primer:

https://deluxematerials.co.uk/products/sand-n-seal

The Sand 'n' Seal is much better for the lungs than Aero-Gloss (which would otherwise be my preferred method, still have a small stash), and sands quite good. I've also tried the EZE Kote, but it takes more coats.

Water based are also kinder to the environment in addition to your lungs (and skin).

Aero gloss or bridal. Only way to fly.
