Here is what Alex from Boyce Aerospace said about the weight:
"Here are actual weights if the boilerplate models with out motors but with nose weight:"

SA-5 5.8 oz
SA-7 5.9 oz

I noticed that the 1/100 Scale Saturn 1B in the 1992 Cat. said 5.3 oz

A C11-3 might just do it justice. If not, a pair of B6-2's probably will, if a mount can be squeezed in.

Hmmm...that's an interesting possibility, which would be much easier to implement in such 3D printed (rather than injection-molded) models. The 1:125 scale Cox Saturn IB was made that way, being able to accommodate either a single 24 mm x 70 mm D12 motor (a short-delay C11 might have worked, too) or two 18 mm x 70 mm motors. It came with two black plastic "squeeze-tab" motor ring retainer clips, an oblong one for the double-18 mm motor arrangement and a circular one for the 24 mm motor (the 24 mm one was thick-walled enough to cover the edges of the 18 mm motors' openings, so that the 24 mm motor's ejection charge would pressurize the body and eject the "nose cone"--the SLA adapter and everything from it to the CM escape tower--and the parachute(s) and shock cord). Since the Boyce Aerospace Hobbies Saturn I/IB models use kraft paper body tubes and 3D printed plastic parts, the S-I (or S-IB) first stage tankage could serve as one or more "stuffer tubes," leaving a smaller interior volume that would need to be pressurized in order to eject the "nose cone" and the recovery system.

We really do have a lot of engine Choices in the 24mm line. We could go with reducer and use C12 or D16, we could use Estes C11 or D12 or even E12 with added nose weight. We could go with Aerotech 18mm on reducer such as:

Some of those are way to powerful for my liking where I fly now days, but they all are possibilities that is for sure.

I like the E11, love the slow flight with heavy black smoke but still to much motor for where I fly. I use to use that motor on light factory built 2001 Saturn V.

My Saturn's, SA5, SA7 and extra 1/100 Apollo Capsule set is on the way as of Monday. I was able to get in on the first batch of rockets.

Happy I made the cutoff since there will be a delay on when the 2nd batch goes out.

Got my tubes from E-Rockets ready to go to

I'm like you Flash, I got my notice they had been shipped Monday. I have the tubes also.
I'm interested to read the instruction to see what the measurements of all the tubes are.
I plan to do the artwork for the fuel tank tubes and the marking on the other tubes.
I know they have vinyl markings but I'll have to see them.

These are going to be quite nice projects to work on.

That would be great, your other Saturn 1B art work was awesome! I would love to be able to get a copy of your Saturn 1's artwork.

Hope you make it available to us all

Save a lot of painting which is great for me!

Mine arrived today also. Well packed no damage. The parts are somewhat smooth.
I can work with them. Decal is alright but I will be working on wraps for the SA-5
and 7. At this point, I am really satisfied

Info on the tube measurements on the SA-5
BT-70 Length in inches 3 5/32" or 3.15"
BT-19 Length in inches 7 29/32" or 7.91"
BT-50 Length in inches 10 3/64" or 10.06"
BT-58 Length in inches 1 47/64" or 1.73"
Center of Gravity balancing point is 11 7/32" or 11.22"

Info on the tube measurements on the SA-7
BT-70 Length in inches 3 5/32" or 3.15"
BT-19 Length in inches 7 29/32" or 7.91"
BT-50 Length in inches 10 3/64" or 10.06"
BT-58 Length in inches 3 9/16" or 3.56"
Center of Gravity balancing point is 15 35/64" or 15.55"

Have read the instruction. They are pretty easy to understand.
Well the first thing for me is to cut the BT-19 tubes and layout the weld lines
and position the UNITED STATES on the tanks.
