![]() Gentlemen,
I have to leave the state soon to do a job at a secure military site and the only cell phones allowed on the site are ones that DO NOT have a camera. I had no idea how impossible it was to buy a new camera-less cell phone. Does anyone have an unlocked "burner" camera-less cell phone that they will sell me or trade for? Thanks!

After your original post I did some searching and was surprised by how tough finding just a phone is. Out of curiosity, what phone did The Vixen find?

It’s a “geezer” phone. Easyfone Chaperone T200. It’s a large buttoned, non-smart, burner phone that can do little more than send and receive calls—but that’s all I need for this job. Most importantly—it has NO camera!

![]() Not sure where you could get one of these, but they look like they would meet your needs.

Thanks—but I’m OK. I considered using two cans and a string. ![]()

Some of those only work with certain providers. Did you check that?

![]() There were many of these before the 3G networks were retired.
While I appreciate new offerings of wireless Internet, it is a shame that older devices were forcefully "retired." There was a time when an otherwise useless phone can still be used to call 9-1-1 almost anywhere. Bill

The provider list IS limited. I got a T-Mobile prepaid plan for it. No contract, and I’ll only need it for about a month—at the most. I started using it on the job site yesterday and it works fine.
