Default Estes # 1357 - SAM-4 ... another SPEV ??? plans ?

This is one I've been looking at for a clone for a while.

Jim Z has the plans up ( and the fin patterns are available, see my note below ), but the decals are still missing.
If anyone has those, please speak up / send scans .. * begs a little * , lol

An interesting note ont his kit is appears to be a SPEV veicle, using up old parts.

note the fins - lower fins are from the GAMMA amd have that part number.

- Upper fins are Eclipse (0846), same part numer also .

also of interest is the use of the two-piece BT50 cone originally used on the Challenger 1.

Definately an interesting, and seldom-seen kit, will make a neat addition to the fleet.

Good observation on those fins. It's very much in keeping with Estes' tradition of re-using components. As to being another SPEV, think instead of the "class" of rocket this one fits into. You have a basic set of components:

PNC-50Y (or whichever equivalent is available)
BT-50L 12.7" main body tube.
Standard 18mm motor mount --
...BT-20J, CR-520, (2) CR-2050, EH-2...

Now, look at the other models in this "class", and you start seeing the "bigger pattern". How many Estes kits can you think of with these same basic components?

Here's my list of models in this "class":

Starbird
Nova Payloader
Icarus
SAM-4
Cougar / Yankee Clipper
Fireaero
Clipper (?)
Lancer
Silver Streak
Cajun
Monarch (?)

There may yet be others that I don't have the parts list for...
