That MIRV flight was...ahem... interesting to say the least.
Looked like a better-than-average flight of a PMC, in other words incredibly LOUSY, but no "trash bag-n'-broom recovery.

The B. O. S. S. flight was amazingly straight/vertical.

Great flight reporting as always.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !

The flight path of the M.I.R.V. wasn't unexpected, but not to that extent. I really didn't think the video still of the three sustainers flying in formation would be visible when the time came to extract the photos, so to say I was thrilled with what I wound up with is spot on. Kinda made the rest of the day anticlimactic.

I LOVE the Aphelion and don't fly my current one nearly enough. My first one bears Carl's signature (from NSL 2013) so it's up on a high shelf. Yours is inspiring me to build another in order to paint it as on the face card as you did....we'll see how long that inspiration lasts .

Aphelion, though longer, larger in diameter and a touch heavier than an Alpha, performs as well, which always surprises me when I fly it. And it's much easier to get a small altimeter into it than in an Alpha.

I also have a BT-60-based upscale which I fly occasionally.

One of these days I need to build one of the MIRVs in the stash. I've seen a couple at club launches and they have generally worked surprisingly well.

Thanks for the fun read, as always.

If you look closely, you'll notice that I screwed up the paint and decals on the Aphelion. I got the yellow section too short, so I had to make an adjustment on the decal.
