Default Attack of the Drones - WW2 unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) assault

Body by Schwinn (yes, the bicycle company) and Wurlitzer (yes, the piano and organ manufacturer). A HIGHLY successful weapon. Amazed I never heard of it before. Film of many actual flights in the video.

Interstate TDR

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_TDR

The Interstate TDR was an early unmanned combat aerial vehicle — referred to at the time as an "assault drone" — developed by the Interstate Aircraft and Engineering Corporation during the Second World War for use by the United States Navy. Capable of being armed with bombs or torpedoes, 2000 aircraft were ordered, but only around 200 were built [due to the STUPID cancellation of it - W]. The type saw some service in the Pacific Theater against the Japanese, but continuing developmental issues affecting the aircraft, along with the success of operations using more conventional weapons, led to the decision being made to cancel the assault drone program in October 1944.

Statistically, we got a better chance of being bitten by a shark." Then I showed her the scar on my elbow from a shark attack. I said, "I got this when my plane went down off of Florida." - Dennis Regan
