I think that’s the photo reproduced in the RoTW 2001 supplement. Peter says that’s the first flight, and I’d believe it. Other pictures have a much longer payload.

Much better quality picture, though.

The white stripe on the Improved Malemute/Patriot motor - is that raised? Is it a chase of some kind?

That is a very good question . . . I zoomed in and cropped the image

To me, it appears to be a raised "tunnel" on the airframe.
