They get to use stuff like thermalite if they want, which we don't get to play with anymore.
I'm not saying that's what they ignite with, but I'm curious whether it's something that the BATFE says we can't play with.

Yes, it could be some technology or material that, as you commented, we do not have access to. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see how they are doing it.

Ahhh, thermalite! Magical stuff. I don’t think I ever had a cluster of composite motors fail to properly ignite when using the stuff. Used it with flashbulbs on BP clusters also. Them were the days....
