Happy Birthday, Vern!

Vern and Gleda traditionally builds and flies rockets at NARAM to be auctioned for the Cannon Fund.

Here are a few shots from NARAM 2012...

Vern and Gleda checking in with Steve Lubliner.

Jim Flis and John Dyer helping them at the pad.

Vern's Big Bertha takes to the sky.

And Gleda's Sky Writer.

Happy Birthday Vern!

For me, the hobby started with an second-hand Estes 1968 catalog.

I hope to meet up with you and Gleda at a rocketry event sometime this year.

Happy Birthday Vern!
It's no exaggeration to say that your passion has changed countless lives - including mine. My interest in aerospace - which lead to a successful 40 year career as an Aerospace Engineer at Boeing - was directly linked to discovering Estes rockets back in 1966.

Happy Birthday Vern!

It was a real honor and pleasure to meet you and Gleda at NARAM 60 in Pueblo, Colorado, in August 2018!

Thank you for all the model rocket memories over the years and thank you for inspiring me to become a successful engineer who always dreamed of becoming an astronaut! Model rockets have enabled me to live out that dream in a way that is challenging, exciting and lots of fun!

Wishing you and your family all the best in 2021!

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins
