Default U.S. Navy Project HYDRA book(s)?

Hello All,

Over the years I have found fragmentary material--and a few online bits--about the U.S. Navy's Project HYDRA, which involved launching large and small rockets directly from the sea. Some were ballasted to float upright by themselves in the water (with fall-away floatation devices that came off at launch), while others were fired from a short, floating tower launcher whose upper end floated awash (even with the ocean surface; booster/first stage-equipped HYDRA-Iris and HYDRA-Sandhawk sounding rockets were fired from this/these), and:

The "Mighty Mouse" Mk 4 2.75" FFAR (Folding-Fin Aerial Rocket), Arcas, HYDRA-Pogo-Hi, Aerobee 100 (Aerobee Jr., called Seabee or HYDRA-Seabee), HYDRA-Iris, and HYDRA-Sandhawk (among other rockets; a 105' long telephone pole boosted by a surplus Genie rocket motor was perhaps the most unusual) were flown in Project HYDRA. Some vehicles carried out operational missions, such as the Naval Research Laboratory X-ray astronomy payloads launched into space aboard HYDRA-Iris sounding rockets. ALSO:

Did anyone ever write a book about Project HYDRA? In addition to being of historical and engineering interest (later other vehicles, such as Starstruck Inc.'s Dolphin hybrid propellant sounding rocket in the 1980s, utilized the HYDRA launch method, which provides a "champagne cork"-type boost at launch [launching "HYDRA-ized" full-size ICBMs from the sea, rolled overboard from surface ships, was also proposed in the 1980s]), any such book likely contains at least some scale data on the rockets that were flown in Project HYDRA.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

I'm beginning to suspect that the people in DARPA are descendants of the space aliens from the crash of the Roswell UFO in 1947. I could be wrong.

tons of info here:

Those aren't connected with the rocket and ballistic missile sea-launch testing Project HYDRA, though. The name "Hydra" (the rocket & missile sea-launching program references always capitalized the word HYDRA; ditto for the names of most of the test vehicles flown in the program [HYDRA-Iris, HYDRA-Pogo-Hi, HYDRA-Sandhawk, etc.]) now refers to other Navy projects and/or operations systems.
