I bet it could be modified into a glider then....

The Enterprise actually flies pretty well on a Quest D16-4

I think it only glided for two reasons: 1 the extra thrust of the composite motor gave it extra speed and the extra delay time gave it the opportunity. But if it could be converted to glide that would be very cool, maybe eject the motor pod and extend flaps/ spoilers of some type?

Most ANVILS fly better than the Enterprise model.
Real clunker with any 18mm Estes motor.
A Cox D8-3 would probably work, but I'd never waste one of those rare motors from 1971 on it.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I would not waste ANY MOTOR to fly the Enterprise model. The blow molded parts never looked the same after one flight with a C5-3 Centuri Motor, so I re-purposed the parts of the extension
and the Enterprise never saw the light of day again. The only good thing about the Enterprise was that Toy R Us closed them out back in the 1990'sfor $5.00 and collectors still would buy them at model shows for $25.00.
