When I was at MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering) in the early 80's the beer of choice was Old Style.

The nastiest cheap beer I ever tasted was Shafer's. All the ones that have been mentioned were top of the line in comparison. Pick the grain you least like in a beer/ale. Now imagine that grain has been burned to a crisp and poured into the nastiest skunk piss beer you've ever had before this one. Bleah!

Hey, wait. That sounds like what Scott McCrate had us drinking at NARCON a couple years ago! Skunk piss, ya, that's the ticket.

Was it made with burned hops, barley, or cocleburr seed?

No, I think he made it from Bill's old sweat socks.

a.k.a. Wiedemann. Both were Heileman products by this point. Remind me to tell the story of the 1982 Old Style sometime.

The can had a picture of a fat broad in a one piece swimming suit. You can probably tell I used to collect beer cans in the 70's.

All of my cans are still in the closet at my parents house.
