Not only didn't it CATO, but it went about 40% higher than I've ever seen it go on an E12. With no clouds and unlimited visibility we actually lost sight of it. Return took quite some time and I'm glad I fitted a 15" TARC chute because one more second of descent time would have put it into the tree line at the south end of the field. A great last flight for the day!

That’s interesting, this year Estes rebuilt the machine that makes E12s and the 29mm motors.

Great second flight but it sustained a little paint rash from touchdown in the corn stalk stubble.

That liftoff shot is a killer!

What do you use for ignition power ?
When doing clusters you really should use a 12v wet-cell NO SMALLER than a motorcycle battery, even for BP clusters.
Your delay in ignition was undoubtedly due to insufficient quick current dump.

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

You are correct. It's not a power problem though. My clips and whip are overdue to be replaced and I was trying to get one more launch session out of them before I replace everything. I use a fully charged car battery for ignition.

Sounds like you need to get in the Jeffries Tubes and replace some power conduits.

That was the consensus after running a level 2 diagnostic.
