Default Interested In The Rare And Unusual?

In over 20 years of diligently combing through the rocketry listings on eBay, I've only seen an MPC Theta-Cajun offered for sale once, on April 21, 2007. It went for $46.

This listing appears to offer an unopened example of the kit plus what appears to be a starter outfit which may or may not be complete. This is rare stuff for sure, and a nice find for MPC collectors.

Not my listing nor do I know the seller.

I'd be interested in browsing 20-years of data that you collected.

I noticed that one out there yesterday too.
Never have been really interested in MPC/MRC kits, but this one is a rarity.

I don't see the ceramic blast deflector in the box.

Scott, I looked for that too. Is it possible that MPC sold a launcher with an Estes-style flat metal blast plate for a time? It shows exactly that in the illustration on the Theta Cajun kit.

That could be. That appears to be a newer model launch pad. The original was yellow in color. I have several sets.

It does not come up often, but I have two that I picked up off ebay in different auctions, probably in the early 2010s...maybe around 2011-12 or so. One of them had a red 'AVI' sticker on the outside of the package. But it has been a while since one was listed on ebay, that's for sure.

Up to nearly $203, with eight bids. Wow!

I have never understood folks who bid and bid and bid. As a seller, I love that 'bidding war' stuff, but as a buyer, it's a poor strategy for success.
