Maverick, the movie.
Maverick, can't wait to see it.
Tom Cruise was allowed fly in an F-18 but told not to touch anything. TC is a pilot and I think owns a jet. BTW, I got to see the last two F-14 squadrons in Virginia back in 2005 just before they retired the jets.

I can't stay up that late anymore. No mattinnays. I hate that!

I started boycotting Tom when he ruined Mission Impossible.

Only going to see it because the first movie was great.
Other than that, I can't stand Tom Cruise; his 80's films were great, after that, not so much.

By most accounts it's supposed to be BETTER than the first one. I'm not female so Cruise has no physical attraction for me (which doubtless accounts for at least some of his popularity) but I have to say I admire and respect the guy. He's multi-talented, and he's done stunts in his movies that I wouldn't have the guts to attempt.

Yeah, like walking down the stairs! Give me a break. They don't let actors do anything that might break a finger nail if there was any danger.

I’m no big Cruise fan, but I seem to recall he was hurt kinda bad in a stunt gone wrong a handful of years ago. People do get killed on movie sets.... just ask Alec Baldwin. Earl

I really enjoyed it, decent story, good casting, Jennifer Connelly was a nice addition. Flying footage was great. Good music, some callbacks, had a similar feel to the original but better action. Of course a lot of the mission tactics were contrived to make a compelling story, and the admirals and maintainance guy are at the base and on the ship which would not happen, but if you forget all that it's a lot of fun. I was 20 when I saw the original in the theatre and this had me feeling similar when I left the movie.

Agreed! The Rocketman movie was wonderful. I wish I had a video copy. I feel bad for Buck Rogers.
