Thrustline Aerospace Astral Lance Plans
The link below will take you to the plans for the Astral Lance kit.
Each plan set also includes a RockSim file for the kit. That's a good thing since nowhere could I find a parts list of tubing type, length, etc. I'd appreciate it if someone with RockSim or OpenRocket will give me a hand by adding a reply to this post listing the parts type/size you extract from the RockSim file. If you could include the templates from the RockSim file I'd appreciate that as well. http://www.oldrocketplans.com/tla/TLA_Astral_Lance.zip These Thrustline Aerospace plans are for PERSONAL USE ONLY! John Rowan-Stern and Thrustline Aerospace reserves all commercial use rights.

Here is the Open Rocket "design report" for the Astral Lance. It's unfortunate that the template for the forward fins is split across two sheets. I wish I could figure out a way to change the orientation of the templates on the page.
The .rkt file (and therefore the design report) does not show that the body is actually in two 11.25-inch-long pieces with a 2.5 inch long coupler and a plywood 50-60 centering ring in the middle. This is evident in the instructions file. The only tweak I've made so far is to get the launch lugs off one of the fin lines. This is a really neat looking model. I need another project like I need a hole in the head (I just started a 2157 Saturn V) but this one calls to me if I can find the right nose cone. This one looks pretty close, though: http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-bals...6-6-elliptical/

Thank you, sir! The cone shape looks to me like the balsa cone used on the original Payloader II, not the plastic replacement used in later Payloader II's.

Except that it’s BT-60. Actually the DRM/Citation Patriot plastic nose cone would be a fair match. Not perfect, but close. The eRockets one is better. It makes me wonder what BMS might have.....

Ya, I was just referring to the shape, not the size.
