Default Requesting some Ventris help.

Does anyone have a scan of the optional black/white roll pattern decals for the Estes Pro Series II Ventris #9701 as it’s shown on the kit’s face card? I’d like to replicate them with adhesive film.

Thanks!

I don’t think they were optional, Gordon and Stickershock sold them as aftermarket, it looks like you can get the vinyl including shipping for under $12:

If you haven’t used Stickershock before, I would bet your client or eventual buyer would be very happy.

I have used Stickershock. His vinyl decals are premium. Among others I’ve bought vinyl decals for the Estes Sentinel from him.

The reason I began this thread is because on page 4 of the Ventris instruction there’s a VERY small paragraph about ordering the optional roll pattern decals from estesrockets.com so I was just hoping that someone had actually done it and still had the decals. But since I’m mildly talented I can possibly extrapolate the roll pattern from the kit’s face card and then slit it from black adhesive film.

The paint scheme .pdf can be downloaded from Insane Rocketry.

That certainly is it. I was about to measure the roll pattern on my Ventris and give you dimensions, but that diagram has it perfectly done....and it seems to match what I have. I don't recall whether I got the decal from Estes or from Gordon.

Bob tried to get the decal from Estes as soon as the kit was released and was unsuccessful, so I assume only the painting guides were made available. You can find them all in the way back machine from early 2012.

I admire your dedication to recreate that decal by hand! Looking forward to the results.

Thanks, I’ll post it when I’m done. IF the white enamel I use matches the white adhesive film I have then I may do black and white wraps.
