Yes, it is still there. Do a search on Centuri X-21 and you should get a hit...I just did.

I have the Semroc re-release which I believe was offered for a shorter time.

This is the exact same vintage Centuri X-21 kit sold by Matt Steele from the Jonathan Dunbar collection for $99.99 on April 11, 2020, on an eBay, "Buy It Now":
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Centuri-X-...=p2047675.l2557

The buyer, Johny20, has an uncanny knack for finding eBay vintage model rocketry deals, snatching them up and flipping them for a handsome profit. Same thing happened with the Centuri KS-9 Apollo Little Joe II 1/100 scale flying model rocket kit that was sold by Matt Steele to Johny20 from the Jonathan Dunbar collection on Nov. 9, 2019, on an eBay, "Buy It Now" for $59.99, and then later flipped on eBay for $208.50 (purchased by Earl) on Nov. 20, 2019. Nice deal for Johny20.

Kind regards,
Jeff

This vintage Centuri X-21 went for a whopping $340.00 (purchased by Earl), which translates to $240.01 profit for the seller, Johny20. Another very nice deal for Johny20.

I'm glad all our rockets don't cost that much. $340.00 can buy a lot of rockets or it can buy a lot of groceries, whichever need is greater at the moment. If you can afford it, I guess it's no problem, but it's tough for me, to see so many friends and neighbors suffering right now.

Kind regards,
Jeff

That $340 was outrageous. I was willing to go to $120 but no more.

Yep, that was me. I would go $120 only for some other items myself, if they didn’t really interest me. It all depends on what someone wants. But, if one sees value in something, then so be it.

I did without as a youngster on some things. When I got older after college and started a career and provided primary support for my single mother and disabled younger sibling for 35 years (and counting for the disabled sibling), I got some of the things I missed out on when I was a kid. This hobby is one of those things.

I wouldn’t call someone reaching for and achieving their dreams ‘outrageous’, but I won’t hold that against ya GH.

Well, Earl, I see there was someone else who was willing to pay $335 for the kit, so you're not alone. I say, if you want it and can afford it, of course go for it regardless of price.

Actually if someone really wants something so be it.
However if they are expecting to buy as an investment, the market price for these kits is going to sink to about nil as the original 60's and 70's rocket builders/hobbyists (BARs) leave the hobby either by choice or natural causes.
Currently there are two original 1/45 Centuri LJIIs on ebay. One open, other sealed.
No bids at $199 and $349. Not surprised.

zapmaster on eBay is Matt Steele. He and some of Jonathan Dunbar's friends are sorting and listing Jonathan's collection. Add zapmaster to your eBay searches as items will be added from time to time. I hope to lend the crew a hand with the effort when travel becomes less of an issue.
