Default Estes Interceptor Booster Nose Cone

I have designed a 3D model of a nose cone for the booster of the Estes Inteceptor kit that never existed.
You can download from here and print it on your 3d printer.

Hi, do you also have the interceptor cone designed? I'm considering a 4" version of my gliding interceptor but this relies on being able to get a cone printed....for BT-101 tubing...

I don't have it designed. I looked in my stash and do have a a kit I can use and work on such.

If you did do one, I'd just model the conical section with cockpit and not try to do the extra extension, that can be replaced by longer body tubes and it might fit in most peoples printers without breaking it into sections except maybe for the shoulder...Just a thought. My foam hand carved version I just finished came in at 2 oz without shoulder, 2.7 with coupler and my sim says 1.5 oz added nose weight, if your design came in at the same weight I'm sure it will be neat wtih the details and I'd swap it out.

The whole nose cone is 137mm long. I certainly can create a shorter version to it will fit into smaller printers. I'll keep that weight in mind.

This thread reminded me of a surprise I got in the mail a few years back. I had been a steady customer of John Pursley’s products and he sent me this as a thank you. It was completely unexpected and is now something I treasure.
