I'm going to keep watching for that Xacto 7kp knife handle, but suspect it was never produced.
I'm still watching for the #6L and #5L handles also. Those have a wider slot in the ferrule designed to fit the thicker #33 blade and the Leathercraft tools.
I just "dremeled" the slot wider in a stock #6 new-style handle to fit the #33 blade easily. Not so far that it cannot use standard thickness blades though.

It was one of the last versions produced as it had the plastic-geared hand drill.
Not that anyone would use it with the low priced power drills and dremel tools available.

Maybe the hand drill is for the Amish hobbyist(?)

I've been watch it since it was first listed but I don't think I'll be bidding on it. They are early knives for sure. I think I have one #1 knife like that one.

Found that early hammer in the 1978 catalog next to the minature "Wile E. Coyote" ANVIL.
Pretty sure it is a LAW that all anvils are required to be stamped "ACME".

This eBay seller has an interesting collection of Xacto dealer display cases and such (and a couple lots of NOS Xacto tools) listed in their eBay sales. Pretty high prices though, but interesting pieces nonetheless. Doubt they will have many takers at these prices.

There are about 5-6 Xacto line items total....you may to scroll down some of the items to see all the Xacto items they have.

Not my listings nor do I know the seller.

One of the $350.00 displays has the ULTRA-RARE #7kp knife-pencil.
That is the ONLY example I have ever seen of the actual handle.
May have to get this one...

He has the Leathercraft set with rare #5L and #6L handles too.
Probably stock from an old Hardware Store or Hobby Shop long ago closed.

Yeah, it’s a rare collection of show cases no doubt. Just pricey.

I sent the seller a "Lowball" offer on that display that they rejected.
I have seen most of those displays before at lower prices.
The one with the #7kp I have never seen.
Due to the rarity alone, that handle may be worth $300.

I spoke to Sue before about the #7kp, and she told me she had never seen one "in the flesh" either.

I had this one on watch and I saw earlier that it sold. Did you get the seller to accept an offer?
