Default 4" Tubing for a Mega Red Max

Comrades:

Does anyone know of an aftermarket 4" tubing that is the same ID and OD dimensions as the 4" tubing in a Mega Red Max? I need a 24" length.

Estes doesn't seem to have any on their website.

I have several non-Estes tubes I got from a friend, both LOC, I thought). One fits great, the other is too tight. One may be an Apogee tube, since both od us have visited Apogee, and I think he bought a tube. Apogee might confirm the whether their tube fits the MDRM nose cone.

Unlike the other Estes Pro Series body tubes, Estes tube for the Mega Der Max has the same dimension as the LOC 3.90" tubing.

There it is, again. When I placed an order a few days ago, it was not listed. Oddly, instead of listing as Out of Stock, these items just disappear. The 4” MDRM nosecone was listed, and I ordered another, but it also has disappeared a few times.

As other have mentioned. The LOC 4 inch tubes fit the nosecone perfect. I prefer the LOC tube as it feels a bit sturdier than the Estes piece.

With the thicker tube, how noticeable is the narrower shoulder on the NC?

Well, guys,

The answer is the Apogee AT-98 tubing. While slightly thicker-walled. the outside diameter is a perfect match. Unfortuantely, the tubing is only available in 18" lengths. The MDRM nose cone fits well and, after sanding the seam slightly, is more or less ready to go.
