Default Clear Plastic Fin Stock

Carl,

Have you ever tried to source clear plastic fin stock similar to what was provided in the Thor and Gemini-Titan kits?

It would be really nice to be able to order laser cut pieces for those kits (and others) out of a suitable clear plastic.

I have found it, but I did not order any. If there is enough interest, I will pursue it after the holidays. I was waiting for Ray to do the GT3 and see how he did it and if we could help.

Happy New Year!

Yes, I would be very interested in the clear fin stock and the pre-cut fins, too.

BTW, Carl, nice new banner on the home page!

Found my Estes clear plastic fin stock. Not quite crystal clear after all these years. I will try to scan the instuctions in the near future. Right now the computer and all-in-one printer/scanner/copier are at odds. Santa did not bring the new computer - yet.

Here is the scan of the instructions. The now-yellowed piece of plastic is 3" x 9". I did not measure the thickness, but it looks like they offered 0.02" stock and 0.04" stock.
